Phone not freaking detecting sd card. Tried 2 of them

^^^ my BRAND NEW phone is not detecting any of my sd cards. I have on 8 gig which was experiencing problems, so i reformatted it using the windows xp partition screen & it didn’t work.. i tried my 1 gig which has been never used and still nothing.. any ideas?

return the phone, they should replace it.

Make sure your phone supports the SD cards that you are trying.
I know mine only supports 1GB or less.

You did insert the card while the phone was off and then turned the phone on right?
