What is the best computer for graphics rendering

February 6th, 2020

I am looking to get a new computer for such work as video editing and rendering in AE, Maya, Cinema 4d etc.
Which is better an 8 core or an I7?
Any of your suggestions would be helpful.

an 8 core or an I7
What kind of a comparison is this =/
Anyway, an i7-3770 will do just fine. You will also need a decent graphics card. I would go with a 660 3GB.
If you can wait, Haswell should debut by this summer and drop by the end of the year. This is the new microarchitecture for the 22nm die. I always wait for the tick, but I have heard good things about Haswell.

for 3d rendering most programs use processor to do the rendering, and so you need a graphic card that can use as processor to accelerate rendering process.
try Nvidia Quadro, its expensive but for commercial work it is a must have for fast render.

OR there is new 3d rendering program which use GPU based rendering, which means it use GPU instead of processor, something like playing games (the GPU renders the game)
the program is fairly new but its quite seems great and have more promises in the future

A Workstation for a Quadro will cost at least $6,000 plus peripherals, generally about $10,000 for a system. Good luck with that =D
