Any video editing software works well (including vegas) if you follow the encoding guidelines above. The biggest issue with quality happens when these ones in particular are not followed, as youtube then re-encodes your video using it’s own engine.

2160p: 3840x2160
1440p: 2560x1440
1080p: 1920x1080
720p: 1280x720
480p: 854x480
360p: 640x360
240p: 426x240

THANK YOU SO MUCH ! but maybe you can give guide on how to setup all those settings.. because in sony vegas i dont have anything like Fast start settings or stuff… and the h.264 codec is only available in .avi container… i dont have it in mp4 containers..
Answer #3
There’s already a good how-to video here:

Answer #4
thanks for that link but i already tryed that same video. still my youtube upload was degraded
Answer #5
Ummmm…are you using a paid Vegas version or cracked? I just re-read above and you said h.264 was only available in avi? I was thinking that you may not have activated the mp4 encoder.
Answer #6
cracked.pro 13. how to activate it ? i am downloading after effects to try render in that and upload. because my friend said he users AE and everything is fine with the youtube guide setup
Answer #7
From my experience, many of the keygens out for Vegas do NOT include the mp4 activation. Some obviously do
It’s called mainconcept something or other
It would be in your keygen – a separate drop down on the program list will have it listed if the keygen actually has it.
What kind of video are you uploading?
You don’t need Vegas or AE unless you are using their advance functionality. Programs like Camtasia Studio (techsmith) allow you to plunk in a vid, multiple tracks, transitions, audio and PIP, callouts etc and already have the youtube presets for your upload.
Answer #8
yes i have mainconcept. is that the same as x264 codec? because i tried that remnder… quality was degraded badly too
Answer #9
Something is definitely strange with your Vegas installation. I can use h.264 in an mp4 container on my side.
Maybe you missed the question that I edited in above (I guess while you were posting):

Answer #10
its gameplay video
i can only use h264 in avi container
Answer #11
Instead of AE, give Camtasia Studio a try. You just drop your video onto a timeline and click publish; youtube is a preset and bang – you’re done. The paid version also has a feature to upload from the program itself; but of course with firewalls to stop it from calling home ..
Answer #12
okay il try it thnx. just tryed After Effects and that program sux ass…. it has so much but gives so little.. preview so laggy… no audio in preview… render laggy too. ~love~ software. bugs and nothing else in it.
il try camtasia thnx dude ! give me a few min to test it il let you know how it is
Answer #13
ok so i tried. didnt help. still video is uploading ~ Lovely ~
Answer #14
So you have two completely different programs, and the same problem.
Q1 – did you install any ‘codec packages’? They can set your codec prefs to something you don’t want. Q2 – Can you upload a short clip of the actual video file you have (before processing)? This would confirm whether the coding is just on your config, is an issue with the capturing itself, or the coding.
EDIT: conversely for #2, if you posted the pre-video file details from mediainfo for example.
Answer #15
here is images to compare. ~Censored link(s) Removed-~
you can clearly see how original (viewed in gom player / windows player) is sharp.
on youtube all my renders in all types of formats comes out that way. it msut be youtube ? but i need a solution

here you go

This one is at 100% quality using camtasia (85M)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZSGwoPkkWs&feature=youtu.be
This one is set at 50% (15M). http://youtu.be/PED0_G1OIpY
Youtube prompts offers to stabilize the video. Click yes.
It also can take 30 minutes or so before the full 720p video is ready. So if you look at the video right away it is, as the censor says, ‘lovely’. Wait 5 minutes and it looks better and the higher res video starts to become available.
When the vid starts, you also have to click the gear to select 720p.
Both #1 and #2 are looking pretty ok to me, especially since they haven’t been completely processed.
Here is a quick vid on what I did in Camtasia:

Answer #23
thnx bro . that youtube stabilizer is useless it ruins the whole damn video but yeah i got the same quality myself when uploading. and they look ~love~. how do other gameplay uploaders have crisp original video look? no blur and all text even small text is easy to read.
Answer #24
i think i found out what the problem is. its my recorder. the holy beta of betas. shadowplay! tadaaa. i think its ~love~. il try record uncompressed and then edit out a short clip and then upload and link here if it turns out good
