How big is too big of a pc screen
January 27th, 2020
A 42″ has a MINIMUM recommended viewing distance of 4 foot – will you be sitting 4 feet away from the monitor? And even that might be uncomfortable.
42″ TV is great if you are sitting in a lounge chair and gaming from 4-8 foot away, not for a computer desk..
I currently using 3x 32″
It might be overkill and to big for some but hey playing games in nvidia surround is awesome. Plus I do a lots of work at home so it helps.
Max for me personally is 32″….. 42″ is totally to big.
I’m using my SONY BRAVIA 4k Ultra HD 65″ LED TV for my pc if that helps
I got a 12inch Dora the Explorer vhs/tv combi linked up to 2 badboy 10w laptop speakers… with dolby surround! Oooooo!
Meh ftw
I do 3d modeling work so distance from screen is around 2 feet at max big in this case is better
I don’t think there is such a thing as “too big” for screens. Just get biggest size that fits within budget and also within physical space.
When I bought a new TV, I moved my old 47″ over to my gaming PC. No issues, no complaints, huge smiles. I do, however, have it situated further back on the desk than my 27″ monitor was.
Yo guys I need some input. What is too big for a pc screen. I have a 23" and a 27" monitor like pretty good was looking to get something bigger. I was looking at nice 42" TV to hook up to my pc. Is that too big or what do you guys think? 32"? maybe>? Is 42 too big?
I have a AOC 27inch IPS monitor and it’s great. Plus I think for PC it’s just right in size for everything even movies especially because of the IPS panel it’s very colourful indeed and bright but trust me 27inch is just right. I tried a 32inch Panasonic edge lit and found that to be ok but a little ghosty for me and my LG 47inch is way to big even for gaming no ghosting unlike the Panasonic which is strange any ways the one thing the LG 47inch is good for “MOVIES” just plug my HDMI lead into the LG and bingo with my Micro labs speakers it perfect for watching Movies but saying that so is the AOC IPS the LG 47inch is OK for console games and pc as long as you have a wireless controller like I do such as the Microcrap XBox 360 controller along with the plug in USB wireless adapter you can buy as a pack look for one on Amazon Actually heres the link! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Controller-Windows/dp/B004JU0JSA/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt#productDescription
27″ monitor for me is the biggest for pc usage and it will be the end of the line..
going 32, 42, and more bigger.. will make my eyes go cross XD
From a technical standpoint, especially for gaming, it could require a high performance gpu and cpu due to higher/faster refresh rates required to prevent poor video results. However, if you have the equipment to handle the higher demands, then it’s just a matter of focusing on the subjective points of interest, which no one other than yourself can answer!
