Is there anyway to share the speed equally to all user?
August 5th, 2016
Consider my internet speed is 2mbps.
I need to share the speed equally to all user.
Is this possible and how to do it?
It should at default. Theres no limit on anyone who used the data on that router. UNLESS you set it up so they have an limit etc.
Just an FYI…… 2mbps share to all user is still total of 2mbps. Its not 2 mbps per user. User X downloading full speed of 1.8mbps. User Y and the rest will most likely can only go around 200kbp or the speed of user X will go down and split the speed evenly. That part I do not know how for sure but I am sure it will effect other user speed who are not downloading. Like watching a youtube video while another user download. The youtube video will load very slow. So its 2mbps total.
I’m not an expert on this but some routers’ stock firmware can be replaced with third party firmware like DD-WRT. After that I believe you just have to find the script for it or maybe it’s one of the features available by default. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I was going to do this for my router but never got around it.
The feature you’re looking for is called Quality of Service (QoS). This will ensure one person doesn’t use all of your bandwidth.

According to this website your router does support it. It also shows where you can enable it.

Thank you for your information.
Consider 3 devices connected to router and also i set highest priority to all 3 devices.
So all 3 devices will get enough speed without any problem.
Am i right?
If your speed is 2mbps, then thats exactly whats going to be coming through that router…so 2mbps will be shared to 3 devices, which will be ‘about’ 600kbps for each device
its automatically share to each users on the network
