Nba 2k9 throws me at desktop any help?

I have Nba 2k9 but when at loading screen (showing the starting lineups) it throws me to desktop any ideas? My pc: Amd athlon 3,2/2gbRam/X1950 pro 512 windows xp pro sp 3 thx

Is it a legit copy? If its a cracked one check for installation errors or a bad crack etc.
