Converting Video With WinAvi

February 2nd, 2020

I upgraded from an Athlon X2 7750 3.4 GHz to a Phenom X4 9850 3.01 GHz and i’m noticing it’s converting movies to dvd at the same speed (around 150-180 FPS). Is there a faster program i could use or any tweaks i could do to make converting faster? Some additional info i have 3.5GB of ram at 1066 unganged and i’m using a shared video card Radeon HD 3300 if that has anyting to do with converting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I used to use WinAVI but found it slow and poor quality. I moved to a great program named “ConvertXtoDVD” Its really good. Loads of links on the board.
Answer #3
You might be BSoDing because your CPU is slightly overclocked. It’s stock speed is 2.5GHz IIRC.
Answer #4
thanks i’m going to try convertxtodvd, i don’t think my cpu is causing it though, i ran a stability test for over 5 hours with no errors.
