XBox 360 Controller Help
August 1st, 2016
What the problem is, ive just got a rechargeable battery an play and charge kit for it,
and with the rechargeable battery in the controller, the controller doesnt connect to the xbox,
even if i press the button on the top of the controller and under the disk thing on the xbox,
it thinks it finds each other as the lights stop going round in circles, and then all four flash, then on the xbox, all the lights go off, and on the controller, all four lights stay on flashing =\
but if i switch the battery pack with the normal battery pack that needs the AA batteries,
it connects automatically without me pressin the button =\
im really confused on what to do and why it wont work,
even with the play an charge kit plugged in, it doesnt work,
and i cant get to the connect button on the controller because of were the plug goes into it =\
EDIT: i even try restarting the xbox and controller with the new battery pack in, and nothin =\
still only lets it connect if the original battery things in, really strange =\
(and yes its charged but not fully and i know this because it worked for like 2 minutes and it had 3 bars of battery)
if any of that makes any sense, please help me 🙂
thanks in advanced and i will thank you again whoever helps lol
You must have gotten a faulty Play and Charge kit.
Usually when you connect the charger up to the control with the charge pack in it, and plug the cable into the Xbox, when you turn your Xbox on, the control should start up automatically. This happens, some just don’t work. You either need to return it or buy a new one, unless there’s another solution.
Sorry I couldn’t have been more help.
hmmmm…Sounds like a faulty battery pack..maybe it doesn’t charge enough…I have 3 controllers…the battery packs charges fine..and the controllers never fail…

Oh, if you’ve originally used it and it has worked, then suddenly died, you’ll have to buy a new one. It’s usually caused by keeping the charger in it too long, sometimes the back will get extremely hot, always be cautious when it’s fully charged to stop that problem. It happened to me, unfortunately there’s no way to fix it, but next time you buy one, make sure you don’t fry the pack by leaving the charger in there too long, as when it is fully charged it doesn’t stop, it just keeps charging.

nooo what it is what i ment to say (sry lol) is that i ordered it off amazon, it arived about an hour ago,
as soon as i opened it i plugged it into my controller (the battery)
and it worked, and i checked whether it needed chargin or not cos most things when ya buy em need chargin,
anyway it had 3 out of 4 bars,
so i plugged the play an charge kit into the controller and xbox,
and the pad went off,
then there was a red light on the play and charge kit, which turned green after about 10 seconds,
but while the play and charge kit was in,
i couldnt get my pad connected with the xbox,
so i took it out, restarted to controller an the xbox,
and it still wouldnt connect to the xbox =\
so i plugged the normal pack in, and it connected fine, but if i put the play an charge kit in with that (yes i no, shouldnt really be done) the controller goes off, then back on, and the charge kit light doesnt come on as to say it doesnt work,
the pad again wouldnt connect, so i took the play an charge kit out, and blam, it worked,
now why couldnt the other battery pack do the same thing lol
thanks for ya help anyway,
im gonna go onto the support site of the shipping company hu sent this out of amazon if i can find it and ask for them to send me a new one lol
