Writing Homework Help…

October 6th, 2013

If anyone would care to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Okay, the assignment is to form my own outline of a short story by using all the elements of plot. So the first thing I’m supposed to come up with is a social situation, time period, place, main characters (antagonist/protagonist), and minor characters. After this, I have to go through every element of plot and list expected and unexpected events that are going to happen throughout my story. The catch is by using a certain time period and place, that means that their are “manners” that are used in that specific setting and unexpected events would be someone defying those manners and doing something that’s out of the ordinary for people in that day in time. So its a little catchy. So for example the first element of plot is our exposition, well instead of actually writing the story and taking from it we are to just brainstorm some of those events that might occur during out story. Then, our second is our inciting incident we are to start again there listing more expected and unexpected events. All of our events have to be in the order they would come in if I where actually writing my own short story.
The story we are supposed to go by as an example is The Open Window - Saki
The elements of plot are as listed: exposition, inciting incident, rising action, climax, falling action, and denouement.
Its a little confusing so if anyone who would like to help would like me to clarify in anyway, I would be glad too.

Answer #1
Dood, you pay your teacher to teach you. Ask you teacher for help. If they won’t help you, talk to your dean and explain that your teacher refuses to help you.
Their paid to teach you; you pay them to teach you.
Answer #2
that sounds like a lot of work for some people on the forum.
Have you got access to other forums, that specialize in this sort of thing?
There should be heaps.
Otherwise you could try to do what SmAsHeDr said, but if it was me, I’d be trying to find another forum somewhere, especially if you need to do something like this again
