Doesn’t wmp 11 play the files by default? If you haven’t it you can get the runtime:

WMA 10 pro is an exclusive microsoft high quality audio codec and K-Lite doesn’t have this code I’ve tried it with no luck and I’m using Shark007 which is a better codec by the way but still nothing

Yes WMP 11 plays those files but it’s for Win XP while Win 7 uses WMP 12 which supposedly the better version but it doesn’t even open these files and divert me to a microsoft page with a lot of worthless information

I wud suggest Windows media player playin avi files
and mpc star player for playin Wmv, Mp4, mkv files

thank you for the player But the issue is in the codec so no matter what player I use it won’t work as long as there is no code installed to get it to understand it

http://www.mpcstar.com/ then click Download now. once you download it. install it. this will update all your codecs in all players you have on your pc/laptop. then play any file in windows media player or mpc star player. every thing should work fineI wud suggest Windows media player playin avi files
