Windows 8 blue screen :( crash

September 5th, 2013

Hello guys,
I am using Windows 8 dev prev 64bit. And Recently i installed the new Beta driver for Nvidia card (GT 240) which i have in my pc. Mind you i have connected my LED Philips TV via HDMI cord to my CPU in the HDMi slot of my graphic card. And although as long as i stay on the PC mode everything works fine and as i switch to TV mode i get this Blue screen crash saying “System thread exception not handled and system will restart in 5 sec . The driver i installed is Nvidia beta driver 290.36.
I am not able to figure what is causing this error plz help

Move back to Windows 7 and wait for Windows 8 to be FINISHED! It’s still BETA or even worst…
Answer #2
back to windows 7 buddy
Answer #3
So you installed beta drivers on a beta os and you are surprised your computer crashes? Those beta’s are meant for developers to get their software ready, not for people to go and use cause they simply aren’t finished yet.
Answer #4
Kindly use stable drivers.

So… you figured out that bluescreens only happen when you connect the TV to your Windows 8 machine with beta drivers and you still can’t find out what causes the errors? Seriously?
Answer #6
use a stable OS ……
Answer #7
Revert back to a either a stable driver or a stable OS.
Or
Keep crashing
Answer #8
Don’t use Beta drivers on an Alpha OS. Problem solved.
Answer #9
Well i just tried it also on Windows 7 64bit and its still crashing i guess its the driver issue.

An electronic device can malfunction in various ways,It’s not always a clear cut working or not,That being said,There’s probably
nothing wrong with it,It’s beyond me why you keep on complaining about stability issues when your using a beta
driver,Newsflash: These are not meant to be stable!
Answer #13
Hmm i think you are right. I was just curious because i have been using beta drivers for awhile and never had a issue its just this one. but yeah.. thanks anyway guys appreciated
