Windows 7 reset password

August 7th, 2016

My friend has a laptop on Christmas, his dad put a password on it but now his dad has forgotten it! It came with no disk (it’s not new) and It hasn’t got a disk drive!
I have tried the USB way but I always get an error. There is a software which can create a USB recover password from boot, which it just deletes the password on any user, however, it was a trial version and wouldn’t allow me to use it. Something like pakeysoft or something. I have looked on here but can’t seem to find one that works, or has a valid link. Any help would be greatley appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Passcape software really doesn’t work. It’s confusing and not straightforward :/

Download Windows 7 or whatever from here, (Format the drive) and make a fresh installation.
That’s what I’d do.
Answer #3
Has no disk drive, and don’t have a big enough flash drive :/

Sounds like his dad really pushed the boat out on the present lol.
You could make a bootable USB drive with the Windows installation on it, but that would mean spending money on one if he or you hasn’t already got one, or go out and buy a cheap external dvd drive.

Just seems like to much hassle haha, I know there’s a software you can make a bootable USB wjich you can delete the password, I had one for vista so I’m sure there’s one for windows 7, just can’t find a decent one! :/

Yeah your probably right… To be honest, I don’t know of any programs like that, I’m sure someone will be along soon to solve it for you though. You’ve always got my answer if nothing comes up though.
Good luck
