windows 7 question

i have a custom built computer and i was wondering if windows 7 would be able to support any hardware that works for xp?
i was actually thinking about downloading it today..
and also can i just simply create a new partition and make dual boot to either windows 7 or xp?

Yes and yes
All your hardware should by default be supported in Windows 7, I don’t see a reason why not
And yes. You can make a partition to install Windows 7 on and boot from there. I never really do it myself, but it is definitely possible.

the req for win 7 are almost the same for XP so 1 gb would be suffice you just wudnt be able to run some of the cooler features

i ran 7 on 512 of ram, you can notice it just slightly though, would def. recommend 1gb of ram for that additional performance increase.
