win 8.1 & MS office 2013 latest updates download

July 25th, 2016

Hi,
Could anybody plz tell me how to download all the Latest updates/service packs for Win 8.1 and MS Office 2013 so it can be used on multiple installations (offline). It is really annoying to download them using the windows update service on each machine.
In India we don’t get much speed and limit on broadband and downloading updates from 1.5GB – 2GB for each machine every month is too much of a pain.
Sorry I have already asked the same query before but no answer. Will try to close the other one, looks like in wrong place.
Kind Regards Thanks in Advance

Thanks for the information, but these are new installations, I already have machines running the Windows and office, can’t reinstall again.

In the folder %SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution\Download (which you usually cant find unless you type, is where the updates are installed.. Been a while since ive used this method, so giving you half an answer, but in that folder are the updates you have downloaded, copy and paste them to another comp and windows at least will upload with out re downloading. I am unsure if more recent updates use a new name or add info to an existing file. I would start by copying the most updated computers files, and copy and pasting in the folder with out over riding any files. If this doesnt make windows find the updates with out re downloading, if you have a test pc copy and paste all with over righting. (if the computers are different it could possibly cause problems, but im pretty sure all the files in those files are only updates, therefore if you use programs which “clean your system”, they probably would delete those files regularly, so overrighting wont be a prob)..

Use WSUS you don’t need a domain to use it.
Answer #5
You could try this. Never used it myself though.
