Why is Internet Explorer not starting?

February 2nd, 2020

Here is my problem: I have Microsoft Windows 7 installed x64. After about 1 week after I installed Windows IE stopped working. I tried some methods to fix it back then but it didn’t bug me too much since I don’t need it that badly.
Now I really need to use it so I am trying to fix it.
When I start it, it just shows as if the program wants to open and then vanishes.
I uninstalled the current version of IE(8), restarted, went to Microsoft site and downloaded and installed IE9. The problem persists.
I tried starting in “No Add-ons” mode but in vain.
Also tried the regsvr32 IEPROXY.DLL command.
I also did a reset from Internet Settings.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

I don’t know if this will help you or not, to be honest i don’t have a clue to an answer to your question, i don’t use IE, i use chrome or Mozilla but when i need to use IE instead of opening the IE itself i just go to My computer and in the address bar i type in the website i want and the web page opens in IE, you can try that, but not sure if it will work for you, worth a shot…
