Which is better?

October 27th, 2013

When downloading games often there is a full RIP of a game and also a full ISO. Usually the full RIPs include a message where it says other languages are stripped, but other than that I assume it’s the full version. So what exactly is the differences between the two?
If the RIPs have nothing stripped out except other languages why do people bother with ISOs (since RIPs are much smaller in size)?

Answer #1
Rips complicate updates.
Answer #2
RIPS mean that content (languages etc) are TAKEN out or RIPPED from the game. Genrally, RIPS also have lower texture/graphical quailty, so I would say, unless you can find a good repack such as black box, go for FULL ISO.
I remember one time I downloaded a RIP of a great game called Mirrors Edge. Guess what was ripped? THE CUTSCENES! For this reason, I try to aviod rips, and go repack if I can. If there is no repack, go FULL ISO.
Answer #3
Thanks for the help, I guess I’ll go with the FULL ISO despite it’s big size. I guess size does matter.
Answer #4
i have very low dl speed with my mobile phone, so i mostly go for rips.
(took me 40 hours to dl Rage, had two hours sleep and my phone died afterwards lol)
when its an old game like SWAT 4 and you are sure there wont be a new patch or update anyway, and only other languages are ripped, its best to dl the rip version.
when you have stable internet connection go for the full iso.
Answer #5

Answer #6

Answer #7

Answer #8
1. The Difference re the Language Packs, sometimes Audio or Intros/Videos too e.g. read what was removed nd you will get the picture.
2. Because not every uploader knows how to rip a game or remove special content of it.
No difference in graphic quality.
Answer #9
For me Full iso is better
Answer #10
Always get the full ISO, you’ll get the full potential of the game and guaranteed reliability.
Answer #11
usually can’t install DLC or Updates on RIP version, if u want smaller version go for REPACK, and some people use FULL because language, or want to play immediatly, or some other reason
Answer #12
iso
Answer #13
Full Rip is usally a smaller file, Which only means Lower quality, Less Languages, ISO all the way
