Where is default installation directory?

I torrented software and and the ReadMe it says:

1. Install Program.
2. Copy "fmpkey.txt" file and paste into default installation directory,
3. Done, Enjoy.

You would have to install it first to find out, or when installing it may ask you where you want it put. Then you’ll be able to follow the instructions that need doing.

normally if you do not choose the advance mode, the default directory is C:/Program File/(Name of Software)

Not necessarily …………. In many cases the folder name takes the software company name ….. e.g. Uniblue/DriverScanner ……… AnswersThatWork/Troubleshooter ….. etc.
Once installed, right click on the desktop icon, click properties and look at where it says target ….. or if you don’t have a desktop icon do the same in Start Menu/Programs.

i guess we are talking about “foxit phantompdf business” the default installation directory is “c:\program files\foxit software\foxit phantompdf”
