Where are Flash CS4 settings saved?
January 26th, 2020
I don’t have Flash CS4, but maybe your information is here :
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\ user \Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS4\ ??
i checked and there isn’t even a flash cs4 folder. any ideas?
Hmmm, I’m thinking you SHOULD have that folder, friend – according to Adobe’s website :
User-level configuration folder
Found in the user profile area, this folder is always writable by the current user. Typical paths to this folder are as follows:
*
In Windows XP or Vista, browse to boot drive\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS3\language\Configuration.
*
On the Macintosh, browse to Macintosh HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS3/language/Configuration/.
I took that quote from here :
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flash/10.0_UsingFlash/WS3e7c64e37a1d85e1e229110db38dec34-7fa4a.html
Some computer folders are hidden – which you may or may not know – maybe you have the Adobe file and just haven’t set your computer to view it ?
In WinXP – open any folder – click the TOOLS tab – select Folder Options – click View – put a dot in ‘show hidden files and folders’ – un-check ‘hide protected operating system files – click APPLY See if the location is there now.
i looked again and its not there. perhaps the location is different for cs4?
Good eye, Mate ! lol !
As you can see, I got that info from Adobe’s CS4 support page – I missed the CS3 reference, obviously – my only guess is that the location is the same as CS3 OR they’ve failed to update the page with CS4 info. Great support Adobe ! lol !
Anyway, none of this really helps you, I know. Sorry about that.
Maybe you could ask your question somewhere in the Graphics forum, or post it in one of the Flash CS4 Appz topics ?
