What is torrent ‘leeching’ ?

It’s for doing it online instead of using a client.
So good for those who can’t do torrents.
It still relies on seeds, so i don’t think it will be any quicker, unless total speed seeding at is already maxing your connection.
Some of the Debrid accounts allow you to get torrents.
AllDebrid, Real-Dedrid are 2 i know of.

Anyone downloading via a torrent file is leeching. When they reach 100% they are no longer leeching the file, but seeding it.

iiiii, I see. I always thought that ‘leechers’ were negatively contributing to the torrent experience. I just asked because I’m currently trying to aquire Assassins Creed: Unity and saw the ‘leech’ numeration was exponentially high, and my download speed of this file was sluggish. So if my interpretation of your information is correct, in a few hours or so, the leech variable should be lower, seed variable should be higher, and my download speed should be realistic in the sense of acquiring the ISO tonight?
I would just get it off of here, but a 40 gigabyte file would likely require me to have to download off of roughly 40 1 GB links if im lucky enough to find 1 GB upload links.

You should always seed back as much as you have downloaded, at the very least, thereby spreading the load and not being one who just downloads and runs, which would then mean a leecher of a different kind. That’s where seedboxes come into their own, as you are not using your own bandwidth to download and share the torrent. You can then download from the seedbox at your leisure.

ii, my apologies. Just did a rather brief research into this, as I have yet to hear of this concept.
It seems that these services charge a monthly fee. I’m sure this is because they provide some sort of speed acceleration. However, I do not require this service, I simply wish to provide to those who have provided for me. Are there any seed specific services I could use? A bump in download speed would be nice, but if payment is required, I’m unable to do this. Sorry for the bother, BTW. I’m sure you have much better things to do than assist some fool about simple torrenting concepts.

Abso-facto, i was unaware of what a leech was. You’re apology is unnecessary, my apologies for my incorrect wording. I made an assumption based off of ill conceived notions that I had yet to confirm. I do thank you for your assistance otherwise, though.
