What are best Security Add-ons for Firefox?
For say adds/pop ups, anti virus etc?

Answer #1
Adblock plus is great for popups. the majority of anti virus stuff is built into Firefox itself, but you can always add the toolbar that generally comes with your antivirus. additionally noscript can provide some extra protection for you.
Answer #2
try noscript add-on
Answer #3
Noscript and Adblock +
Answer #4
there are lots of things but i think for most of the people adblock+ should be enough on its own.
noscript can be cumbersome to use at first, but once you get your frequently visited sites in the whitelist you can get used to it.

haha ya true.
But after I used it for a while I just allowed all scripts.
Now I’m trying to block what ever I want, instead of blocking all by default.
Answer #7
Noscript and Adblock +
I second that. Also use Kaspersky and you are %99 invulnerable.
Answer #8
Don’t get Adblock, get Adblock Plus
Answer #9
Noscript and RequestPolicy are two of the best around but can be difficult to use on some sites. RequestPolicy has a Show Request Log which indicates what sites the site your visiting is trying to access. By default it blocks all attempts to access other sites.
On WBB you would see no Images or images from sites that request for logins like has been used on many occasions so you wouldn’t get that. Also no Ads or pop ups unless you allow them.
Also AlertCheck can be helpful if for those damn sites that cause a pop up requester, some of which crash the browser. That only happens if you allowed them with NS & RP.
Answer #10
KeyScrambler Personal
Answer #11
no script, adblock plus and better privacy.
Answer #12
Also too all the above you should check WOT(Web Of Trust) also
Btw dont get all the Add-ons but choose intelligently based up on what your needs are
Answer #13
key scrambler – encrypts your typing so that keyloggers can’t trace what your typing.
noscript – blocks all scripts like it says.
I used to use these, but I stop getting into unsecure stuff.
Answer #14
Thanks for the response. Ok I got noscript and Adblock plus. Noscript is great!!!
I don’t understand ABP, it doesn’t seem to do anything?
Also which version of Kaspersky? Is there a free version? Currently using Avast free.

key scrambler - encrypts your typing so that keyloggers can't trace what your typing.
noscript - blocks all scripts like it says.
I used to use these, but I stop getting into unsecure stuff.

I use to use keyscrambler, but it stopped working awhile ago with one of the Firefox updates.
Answer #16
For adblock plus you need to adda filter subscription. Once thats done it removes the adds from the web pages!

Then you must be the only one, since KS still works fine here, even under Firefox 4.
KS and your browser aren’t connected actually, even though there is an add-on for Firefox, it will work fine without the add-on.
Answer #18
You don’t really need ABP if you have noscript and even less if you use RequestPolicy. noscript and ABP never used to work together until a while ago due to competition between the two addons. ABP I don’t waste time on.
It might be worth running two browsers. One with lower security for general browsing and another with hardened security for a based environment. If you use RequestPolicy and noscript in the browser and noscript in the other that should be sufficient. Then select Allow scripts globally in the general browser and then forbid scripts as needed. You could maybe use ABP if using noscript in an allow globally mode.
You won’t get this into the required size without reducing the number of pixels/frames. A 2 colour version won’t get into the needed size as it is! So reduce the image size and number of frames to have any chance.
Don’t bother with Kaspersky because it’s not a very good AV.
