Want to try out Win 7

January 24th, 2020

Hey all. I want to download Windows 7 tonight and try it out, but I am not sure what version I sohuld get. I would like the newest one, and I would like to try x64 out. Is it 7137 that is the newest one? Is that also RC2? I heard that was 7200 or 7225? But I can’t find that one anywhere. Is it not out yet? Thanks alot. I am rather new to this Win7-thing

the 7137 is the latest as for 7200 and 7225 they do not exist yet
Answer #2
Ahh thank you alot. I downloaded the 64 version from Microsofts homepage.
7100.0.090421-1700_x64fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd.iso
It seems it is version 7100, not 7137. Should I just use this, or is there some good differences between 7100 vs 7137? Why isn’t it version 7137 on Microsofts download-page?

Use the release off the windows site. 7137 is a leaked version most probably and I have read has basically no improvements, I would just use the official release from the windows site as its reliable, it should be just fine
Answer #4
Use the latest one. It’s called a latter version for a reason even though it may not be apparent.
Answer #5
Ye use the RC1

i found it more compatible.. even 7100 is also very much stable..
u just stay with RC 7100.. if any problem persists upgrade to 7137..
Answer #9
naw do not use the 7137 build few leaked build are embedded with malware, google it before using any build other then the official M$ builds. reeman could be right and build 7137 might be just fine but i would check first before.

If the software is free always download & use from authors site
Go to ms site & download & no need to upgrade build version coz it is RC..wait for final rel
Answer #11
Speaking of the final official release of Windows 7, when is it going to be released?
Answer #12
If you are new to testing and/or using beta software then it is always best to download the latest version available from the manufacturers website, in which case this is Microsoft. So I highly recommend staying with the Release Candidate version of build 7100. There are only slight minor changes between 7100 and 7137. These are mostly bug fixes and security flaws. All the 3rd party drivers etc are included in the first beta version which was build 7000.
Answer #13
seeing as you have already downloaded the 7100 i would install it as for myself i’m using 7137 and running better than the 7127
Answer #14
