virus aand malware prevention

August 4th, 2016

I had avast pro installed get updates daily. Today i get infected with win32Adloader-ac on my win7 system.
it wont let you open task manager. it wont let you run avast get up regedit and it infects the pagefile.sys for some reason.
i download a lot of stuff. At the time i downloaded dvdfab i think the op posted a infected one. I could not report it because i cant even use my laptop now.
had to take out the hard drive hook it up to my desktop and run av which could not remove it now i am trying malwarebytes.
I was encoding and its a royal pain in the ass.
Is there any safer way to browse the web and download movies without getting infected.
how about a virtual pc? a os installed within your os
Or maybe using a desktop as a vpn and have bit defender running.
What i would like to be able to do is trap virus track all changes it has made to my system so i can undo those changes.
i never had this trouble with linux but backing up bluray in linux seems to be in the early stages and only certain drives will work with it i believe.

Avira Personal + Malwarebytes + COMODO Firewall ( all free) = Ultimate combo!

I think what you should do is to get a decent Antivrus, not that Avast. I recomend you Kaspersky plus Malwarebytes, it’s always useful. Smile
Answer #3
Install Kaspersky PURE Or Kaspersky Internet Security (2009/2010) And You Will Be Fine! Wink
Answer #4
NOD32 + Malwarebytes + SuperAntispyware
Thats what I use!
Answer #5
There was another virus in there CIAxxxxxxx.exe i used a hex editor to blank it with tons of 00000000,s
i am not very confident with avast anymore. Iv tried norton <gay lags system
tried kaspersky it waqs good but let a virus in and i lost my documents.
Originally i used bitdefender so i am gonna switch back to that but going to use a vpn to like hidemyass
Looking at the CIAxxxxxxx.exe it is a back door and it stops you from using your system. It hides so you cant see it unless you set option>view hidden files & folders
it tweeks the registry something wrotten. i dont know what people get out of infecting others.
one day i might ditch windows all together.
