Video Software

January 22nd, 2020

I need a software that can cut videos into parts, if i want to cut out a specific scene from a movie. Or a specific play from a Football game, do you guys know any software that can do that? I don’t have a capture card so keep that in mind, i can’t use Windows Movie Maker because of that.

I have Virtualdub but its too hard to use, i don’t know how it works. Do you have like a guide or something, step by step guide to show how i cut a scene from a movie or a play form a football game. I want to make a highlight video of Brian westbrook, i have every Eagles game from this year.
Answer #4
what format is the video divx, xvid or something else?

yeah, mostly that and avi.
Answer #6
hard to use ?
file in avi format ?
in virtualdub open the movie, set the video to direct stream copy, use the shift+arrow key(finds key frames) to navigate to start of clip you want, set mark in, use the shift+arrow key to navigate to end of clip you want, set mark out then save as avi
or do the reverse, marking & cutting unwanted frames, to make a combined output of all wanted clips from the file
for AVI recoding I set my DIVX to “key frame” every 15 frames (down from 300) to be able to edit on the second (15 frames) instead of 10 seconds (300 frames)
if the file is in MPEG format MPEG2VCR will do the same but is frame accurate, no just key frames, to do direct stream copy(no recoding)
to get slo-mo to work I have to re-multiplex the audio & video in TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress’s mpeg tools
