utorrent – stuck on “connecting to peers” status

Hello everyone. My utorrent seems to be malfunctioning. It wont download. Always stays on “Connecting to Peers” status. the torrents does work fine coz i check it with my friend.. any idea how i could fix this?

You got your firewall blocking utorrent maybe..
Did you allow utorrent inbound access through the firewall?
In utorrent go preferences > Connection and make sre the 2 port mappings and add windows firewall exeption is ticked.
If you use a different firewall, you may have to do it yourself, I suppose.
I think it usually asks for these permissions when you install it.
Check your settings.
My Windows Firewall has Inbound rules to allow utorrent (UDP-in) and utorrent (TCP-in)

If you have a different firewall and can’t configure it, just Google it or ask..
Also, as mentioned, it can sometimes be antivirus or anti malware applications,

Torrenting could be blocked by your firewall

Along with your Win Firewall as suggested by , also check your AV’s network settings

Have you tried to right click and “force download” or “force start”?
