unable to run MS office PORTABLE 2003?

and after running windows installer comes up and says its configuring then it exits and nothing……no shortcuts and after running a search for ‘office’ and ‘2003’ on my computer it came up with nothing…..and i dont know how to start it up….wtf?!!?
its the 2nd installer iv tried…..help? thanks
Try updating your Windows Installer version. If you’re using Windows XP then update to 3.1. After that try installing again. If it doesn’t work then increase your PF space. Go to Start–>My Computer (right click)–>Properties–>Advanced–>Setting (under performance)–>Advanced–>Change. There set the Page File to a bigger value. Good luck mate ^_^
just increased page file space by 800mb, no change
where do i update my installer? because if its from the windows update site it’s not giving me that as an update option’
EDIT: found, downloaded, and installed windows installer 3.1 from microsofts website……no change
Download another version of MS office. I would recommend downloading the full retail copy, in ISO format. If you want a portable version get a good one. Good luck mate ^_^
