TV Show Tags and Quality

January 10th, 2024

OK this might seem like a dumb question (I feel dumb for asking it) but when people post TV shows in the TV Shows forum are the mp4 version of the phone HDTV or just the avi. files that say HDTV? I know the 720p files are all HD but I want to make sure that if I’m downloading the mp4 it’s still HD quality. Thanks for the help

Answer #1
It’s not the highest quality, but nonetheless is high quality
Answer #2
Avi is normally only used for standard definition (480 or 576p) and uses the Xvid or Divx codec.
Mp4 or mkv may be used for both…And mostly uses the x264 codec…Look for 720p in the description for HD.
To find the resolution and other details of a file that you have, you can use Mediainfo..

Answer #4
Yes that would be good high quality.
A lot of shows/movie are also done in a more average quality, about 500MB per hour of run time.
