August 9th, 2016

hey guys i am trying to reinstall my os because some virus came and it messed up my pc from which i cant even open my pc then i downloaded an os from this site and trying to reinstall my os but it keep giving me an error it says..
set up unable to format the partition. the disk may be damaged
make sure the drive is switched on and properly connected to your computer. if the disk is a scsi disk make sure your scsi devices are properly terminated.
consul your computer manual or scsi adapter documentation for mor information.
you must select a different partition for windows xp.

and when i try to repair it it says
setup has determined that drive c: is corrupted and cannot be repaired. setup cannot continue.
plezzzzz guys i need help in reinstalling my os plez and i need reply asap…. thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Grab Hiren’s BootCD and burn it. Then boot from it and use the partitioning tools there to try and format your HDD. After that try installing the OS on it. Here are links to Hiren’s BootCD:

i dont know what to do after i select the partition tool i need steps after that on how to format my HDD…
Answer #5
don’t format, just delete the partition
then recreate it during the XP setup
with partition magic, if the disk has errors it will tell you that and offer to fix them – hopefully that don’t work try the HDD utility for you brand disk and do a low level format
