Trouble with remote desktop accsess

I had buyed a remote desktop server, but when I am entering the ip in remote desktop connection software its asking me id and pass I am entering the id and pass but its showing error.
then I had talk with service provieder who has provied me this server he reset my pass and given me loggin details again. but again same problem.
then I had desabled my firewall but again same problem. I am using window 7 ultimate.
now I am wondering that might be something worng with my oprating sytem or software.
if there is need a specific setting or what .
or can somebody tell me and remote desktop software.
I had tried to google it but i found software which are making my laptop remotly accsesble I want to accsess another desktop which is out there somewhere and I got its ip address user name and pass.

If you manually typed the user/pass and didn’t copy/paste then clearly you’ve been scammed!
There’s no problem on your end
as your able to connect,You just can’t get in
with the provided credentials which mean’s
it’s a server side problem,Get a refund and
move on.
