Trouble installing/patching wow

So I decided to update my wow to play the cata private servers but im having alot of trouble patching to the right version?

The version I need to get to is 4.0.6a
I can get to 4.0.1a But no further
when I run the launcher on 4.0.1a is patches me to 4.3
Can anyone provide information on how to manually patch from 4.0.1a to 4.0.6a ?
I downloaded some patches but can’t seem to install them correctly? I’ve done this all before but on WOTLK an it worked easy. But now it seems I can’t manually patch and im forced to use the launcher which over patches?
Argh frustrating >.< lol

No idea how to fix your patch issue but,
I can tell you right now private servers are not worth it in wow.
