The memory could not be “read” Errors

Hi when ever i go to use any video editing software i always get this error:
the instruction at “0x14181468” referenced memory at “0x14181468”. The memory could not be “read”.
then it says that the program has encountered a problem and needs to close. What would be causing this? I recently got a new dvd burner and it came with some nero software. when i installed it i got these errors randomly when editing footage. Prior to that i never had a problem. What could have nero done to make this happen?(if it was nero)
Oh and by the way i get the same error for both Windows movie maker and Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus.

Go into task manager and 1st see how much memory[RAM] is being used. Could be the possibilty that theres not enough ram left to run them?
