May 16th, 2014

Whew! well i need little help .
Should i get a new PC or buy PS3 / XBOX ?
I won’t buy all game except a few.
SO my questions are :
1) Will i be able to play all new and upcoming games with PS3 / XBOX ?
2) Last time my friend said that “You cannot play new PS3 games” – True ?
3) Will MS ban my XBOX if i flash it and go online ?
4) After flashing / modding XBOX / PS3 , will i be able to play all games ?
5) Is PS3, XBOX resolution maxed ? 1080p ? or it depends on TV ?
6) Or should i forget console and get new PC ?
Not willing to spend lot on new PC , but $1000 will be good.
Thank you.

I recommend getting a PC and playing cracked games from there. I just buy the legit games for the consoles, and crack my PC games. To me it’s easier.

1. xbox 360 can play all new games except 2.5 protection games (this is what i heard)
2. this i am not sure
3. yes you can’t go online
4. same as first answer (but i do not know what is required for this)
5.i know xbox 360 is 720p ps3 some support 1080p but mostly i guess are 720p?

I play all of my newer games in 1080p. Works amazing. However, specifically in the Halo games, when playing co-op, it shrinks the resolution down to fit both players.

How is console graphics ? Better than PC ?

:I am AWESOME: replied: How is console graphics ? Better than PC ?
If you have a really nice PC with a good setup, and are able to run games at the highest resolution and detail settings, then it looks better than console.
But I’ve never personally experienced that myself I prefer things on a large widescreen 1080p display

The problem is :
1)I don’t want to buy each and every console game
2)I don’t want to spend lot of $ on PC ..
So what you suggest ?
XBOX [modded] runs all new games ? or PS3 ?

That’s a tough choice then =/ Like I said, I crack games that I don’t want to buy for my PC, and play them on that. My PC is great, is decent, but it’s definitely not great. So the games that I just want to play for the story, not the looks, i buy for my computer. The games that I want to experience the whole effects of it, I buy for the Xbox.
And as far as running modded games, like Harry said above, you can’t run the protected games.

The answers given are my own opinions…. I don’t care about anyone elses thoughts. If people want to disagree and try to argue, I dont care and wont argue back… I probably wont reply to their comments at all, as I have better things to do other than argue on the internet SIMPLE ! lol
1) Will i be able to play all new and upcoming games with PS3 / XBOX ?
Yes most likely. Most of the major title games nowadays are released on all consoles.
Obviously certain games are only released on certain consoles.
For Example:
Halo Series – Xbox 360
Resitance Series – PS3
2) Last time my friend said that “You cannot play new PS3 games” – True ?
I presume your talking about Jailbreaking your PS3 – and what effects the ‘hacked’ FW has on newer games.
I honestly haven’t got a clue about the jailbreaking scene on the PS3, so I can’t comment on this one.
3) Will MS ban my XBOX if i flash it and go online ?
This is always fun to answer.
Many believe different things on this subject.
Many people are loyal to “c4eva” and say that if you stay up to date with your firmware flashing, and keep your games up to date with the latest security sectors and patches then you’ll be ok.
Many people say, at the end of the day, if you flash your 360 and play pirated games – you are running the risk of being banned.
It’s plain and simple really.
You can only make your own mind up on this subject.
My own thoughts are…. Personally, I have a hacked console, yes I play online…. and yes – I know that one day I will be banned.
HOWEVER!!!!
Will I be bothered about being banned?? No I’m not. I haven’t played online for a very long time. And to be honest…. the money I’ve saved on buying new games, can easily cover the cost of a console 10x over.
4) After flashing / modding XBOX / PS3 , will i be able to play all games ?
PS3…. I dont know.
Xbox…. Yes. However, with some DVD Drives you have to keep up to date with new firmware updates.
Microsoft are now rolling out their new XGD3 discs. I think we are all still a bit confused about this, and how we are going to get these running on DVD+R DL discs. As the XGD3 discs hold more data than a usual DL disc.
5) Is PS3, XBOX resolution maxed ? 1080p ? or it depends on TV ?
PS3… I think this console does truly run at 1080p.
Xbox, although it has the option to run at 1080p… I think I remember reading somewhere that the games are still native to running at 720p, regardless of your 1080p setting.
6) Or should i forget console and get new PC ?
You could get a pretty good PC for $1000, but do you really need one?? Or would you perfer to have a console?
That decision can only be made by you.

I own a JTAG’d XBOX 360, I personally love it – much more than my flashed Xbox 360.
I can play all the old classic SNES / MAME games.
I don’t have to worry about the new XGD3 discs, as all data is stored on a external hard drive.
I can download all the XBLA games for free.
It’s just fantastic.
I own THREE xbox’s
1. Original – Untouched – For backup purposes, ready for new hacks. (still in box)
2. Flashed firmware – To play online with, games like Call of Duty etc (probably get banned one day)
3. JTAG’d – This is my main console, I play everything else on this console. Arcade games, and other games that I’m not bothered about playing online with.
I would definitely recommend a JTAG’d XBOX to anyone.
Answer #10
^^Thank you so much .. I think i should go with JTAG XBOX or Legit PS3 ..
Can i do this ?
mod PS3 and play downloaded games .. and when i want to play online restore to original FW and play online with legit disc ?
Thanks again.
Answer #11
I recommend the Xbox myself
Answer #12
Ashleyuk1984’s reply covers a lot of the main points and is correct to my knowledge.
RE: XBox
I don’t think you can JTAG XBoxes anymore unless you pick up an old, un-updated console. New consoles come with firmware released after the old JTAG exploit was patched.
iXtreme LT1.9 is out now and depending on the optical drive in the XBox, is not too hard to flash. This currently protects from the global AP2.5 checks I believe (but check one of the xbox forums or c4evaspeaks to be sure). LT2.0 will come out after the new Xbox Game Disk is made public (probably with Gears of War 3) and will allow support for the new disk format being used.
If you do get an XBox, mod it to LT1.9 and make sure you run your XBox ISOs through abgx to verify the security and stealthing before burning and make sure you stay on top of the requirements for new releases (so you don’t get flagged by a new release that LT1.9 does not support – XBGD3 for example) and update your custom firmware as required.
If you can get your hands on an old XBox (dashboard firmware should have the last 4 numbers less than about 7900, the cutoff is 7900 or something – please verify this yourself), do NOT update it online or with a game disk and get the tools to JTAG it.
RE: PS3
I am unsure where the PS3 scene is at right now as the last I heard, GeoHotz’ mod was being patched so you might need to look into this further but to be honest, the exclusives on the PS3 have not been enough for me to buy one. A number of the best games coming out are cross-platform and the extra hassle to deal with a PS3 if you want to mod it doesn’t seem to be worth it.
RE: PC
I play both XBox and PC games and I find that I prefer to play my favourite shooters and strategy games on my computer (for aim/mouse control), and RPGs or casual shooters/action games etc. on my XBox (easy to relax on the couch with a controller). For under $1000 you should be able to get a PC which will play the latest games at a decent level, especially if you do not need to buy monitors etc. I spent about $1300 on my last box about 2 and a half years ago (including a monitor) and it still plays most new games acceptably.
Overall, I think your choice will be influenced by price. I should note that the consoles will be cheaper than a new computer (if you want something that will last, anyway).
Answer #13

Guys seriously i don wanna start a debate here..
I love pc.. I will never compare pc to consoles… as pc is the best..
u can modify as per ur wish.. Multi use..
No need to replace whole stuff..
AWESOMEBut If u think to buy a console..
i recommend ps3..
legit..
I feel its worth it..
Ya game dvds cost too much.. pushing users to mod it..
But u r not gonna play all d games available..
Best games mostly available in pc too..
so Just buy uncharted, resistance, infamous series..
For all other best games go with old pc..
I feel ps3 graphics is better than xbox360..
I can make ur choice easy..
Select between these two options..
wt u like to play
1.Gears of war, Halo series..
or
2. God of war, uncharted, resistance, infamous series..
Decide yourself..
Answer #16
PC recommended

Google “mid range pc or console” top hit is tomsH have a read they make all the important points in the first few post, I actually had 8 different reasons why you should get a PC but then found this thread…. Biggest point was free games past present and future (emulators too) with the choice to buy the games that you want to play online, if you want the official servers with less cheating. Oh and the performance is in PCs court…

Look into the reset glitch hack as this has recently been deiscovered and is similar to the JTAG but u dont need an 2year old+ xbox to do it you can do this on the new slims xboxs and nearly all xboxs.
Answer #20
The consoles of today are outdated. Buy a new computer or wait 2 more years for the new generation consoles.

i just spent $567 on my new pc and i have been able to play crysis 2 maxedd, the witcher 2 maxed, GTA IV with ICEnhancer 1.3 and a bunch of other games maxed. if you want i can help you build a decent gaming pc. may even have enough left over for a console. are you in the US?

1) Will i be able to play all new and upcoming games with PS3 / XBOX ?
Yes
2) Last time my friend said that “You cannot play new PS3 games” – True ?
Nope
3) Will MS ban my XBOX if i flash it and go online ?
If you brag about it, yes
4) After flashing / modding XBOX / PS3 , will i be able to play all games ?
You will not be able to play online if your banned. If your hacking, get a ps3, it takes effort to jtag a xbox.
5) Is PS3, XBOX resolution maxed ? 1080p ? or it depends on TV ?
both are 1080p but that is 720p upscaled to 1080p
6) Or should i forget console and get new PC ?
Yes!!
Answer #23
Hy Awesome, I suggest you to buy a super pc to play at max resolution and a good monitor like 22″ LED FullHD. Your budget is very good trust me! If u want a powerfull PC for that budget go with a setup like that:
CASE: NZXT Phantom “White” ATX Full Tower 149,90€
PSU: Tagan TG600-BZ “PipeRock Series” – 600 Watt – 79,90€
MOBO: Asus M4A87TD/USB3 86,00€
CPU: Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz Black Edition (socket AM3) 115,90€
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 PC3-15000 – Kit 8Gb 69,90€
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD6950 2GB GDDR5 250€ (maybe 220€)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda, SATA 6G, 7200RPM, 3,5″ 500 GB – 38,90€
DVD: Asus 22€
MONITOR: Samsung TA350 HDTV/Monitor 22″ LED FULLHD 1080p 200€(i use 2 of this atm)
—–> 1012,50€
This setup was an example for my friend and maybe you can find better prices and pieces on the web. Btw I think is a very powerfull setup for gaming.
I have the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I like more the ps3 because of better exclusives(killzone, uncharted,MGS etc.) and the multiplayer is free. Xbox have a good Joypad, Halo, Mass Effect(now is on PS3 too LOL), Gears of War, Kinect and and and….nothing else
The choise is yours:
PC= Better graphics, programs and free games weeeeee
Cosoles = It’s cool playing multiplayer games with a 50″ HDTV in your living room or using kinect/PS Move with your best friends BUT the games are very very expensive
P.S.: Sry for my bad english
PSSSSSSS: I forgot, if you want the best from games like Battlefield sieries, Crysis etc. buy a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi, it has the most powerfull audio CPU, it’s not like the small audiocard on the mobo, trust me

Answer #25
If you planning to play games, then you should go for a console (either PS3 or XBOX). Though you won’t get that sexy texture details as you get on a good video card, but the gameplay would be great. I personally had a friend who prefers to use his XBOX over his PC (Gaming Rig).. You could get a good quality LED or LCD panel (1080p) and pair it with either a PS3 or XBOX, and you are good to go. You are pretty much set for gaming for a couple of years, major number of games comes out for all types of consoles. If you buy a PC you would have to spend a lot plus you have to eventually upgrade your video card to continue enjoying max-out gaming, nobody is sure of what amount of juice the games of future would take up. Its all up to you in the end, PS3 are coming at a good rates here in India. If you buy a PC, you would end up spending more than $1000 for an average rig. If you buy the parts from here at India, you would end up spending even more. Good luck.

Go for a PS3 160GB HD for US $250.00 and upgrade it later to a 500GB HD plus you can also invest in Sony’s $500, 24-inch 3D HDTV.

Buy a PS3 and go for a cheap rental service for the games. That’s what i do and i save my money in turn on the PC games by only buying exceptionally classy game and pirating the rest. And i really insist on the PS3 because it is so cheap now and is doing much better than xbox these days plus the exclusives are so damn awesome.

I have a PS3, graphics are incredible on 1080p, but there’s a serious problem with WiFi connection…you may need a Wifi extender so you’ll have a smooth connection in games, even if you are connected to 100% signal strength you’ll still experience problems
Answer #33
So…. Guys, I’m just wondering about the “jailbroken” terminology for PS3.
Is that similar to PSP, where you need CFW and you can play virtually any PSP game in ISO format from the Hard Drive (or MMC for PSP)?
