Answer #1
Is there a budget or are we suggesting whatever we like?
Answer #2
Skimp the water cooling and get yourself a better PSU and hard drive.
Answer #3
AMD has not been doing too well the past while
But apparently nVidia has been fairly shady with its nVidia Gameworks I’d wait until the AMD Rx 3xx series to come out, cause that would cause all cards to drop in price

Yea This Config my budget. AMD has not been doing too well the past while

can i get better performance on AMD card ?
My 2nd processor Selected Amd FX 8350, Its almost same as i5 also cheap rate.

you actually did a quite good system with a few flaws according to your budget(you didnt tell it but i can imagine by looking setup)
i totally agree with about water cooling , exclude it. and put a ssd drive to your list , even a cheapest one would give you a significant boost. the low tier ssd i know which are good for price/performance are Kingston Kingston V300 Series either 120 or 240GB and Crucial BX100 Series again either 120 or 240GB.
change your wd green into wd blue 1 tb , blue is better and almost have same price. if you have a little more money , buy black.
your motherboard is very cheap z97 but also very efficient , we bought it to a friend of mine due to budget limitations and now he is very happy with it. but there are better ones if you increase your budget a little.
if you are not going to overclock your cpu you can buy 4690 instead of 4690k , which is cheaper and have exactly same clock speeds.
your psu will be enough for gtx 970 but that psu have no future which means you can only use it with this system not on any future systems since it will get older and older in time where it can be considered old already.
choice of brand of gtx970 is also important , i prefer asus strix but msi gaming one is cheaper and have same performance.

Of course AMD has better performance per dollar (in the case of both the GPU and CPU), but the nVidia and Intel uses considerably less power and heat to achieve the same performance

Budget affects everything on the quality of the parts. I’d get a better water cooler like a Corsair H80i or NZXT Kraken X41 (single 120s) or an air cooler Noctua NH-D14 or Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO over that CPU cooler it has some annoying pump sounds and low quality components from my experience on one project. An AMD FX cpu is cheaper but it will cost you more in other areas. You’ll need a more powerful power supply and you’ll lose features in a comparably priced Intel motherboard. If price is the concerning issue into the selection of that cooler I’d go for Hyper 212 EVO, and like above get an SSD it makes a world of a difference in the performance of your pc. I second that, the Kingston V300 is a good entry level priced SSD for low budget rigs.

SSD is it Important in Gaming ? Samsung or Kingstone which one Better ?
Answer #9
when you talking ram, just go with your common sense.
you know computer parts don’t last very long so, here my suggestion:
1. get lots of ram
2. get the fastest cpu you can find
3. get a decent motherboard
3. get a reasonably good housing for it
4. get a decent display
Hook it up, plug it in, and burn it out!
Simple.

Lots of ram isn’t always needed unless you’re going to use it to its potential. 64g of ram for just Internet browsing is a waste of money.
You get my drift.

It isn’t that important; kind of a luxury buy
It mainly affects boot times, game loading times, and file transfer/write speeds
It depends on the model Samsung and Intel are generally known to have reliable SSDs
Answer #12
Samsung make great SSD’s whilst so do Kingston. However, if you’re on a budget, look at the crucial MX100.

ssd is important for everything , samsung 850 pro is the best standard sata ssd currently but it is also expensive. kingston v300 series have good price/performance ratio and it is good for building systems with limited budget.
you probably wonder that will there be too much difference between samsung 850 pro and kingston v300 while only gaming ? no there wont be any significant difference in terms of fps for the current games. just a little difference.
on the other hand you will feel a difference from a little up to very significant depending on your daily activities between samsung 850 pro and kingston v300 .
ofc these are just 2 models of 2 brands , there are tens of more ssd out in the market which can be better for different purposes and in different price range.
Answer #14
People buy SSD’s mainly for consistent booting times, hard drives get slower and slower as the system is cluttered with junk, but then again, expensive motherboards will boot slower as well as they have more things to POST. Asrock makes some really fast booters, but their quality is pretty bad, Asus is following the trend too. Boo on their thin PCB’s.

In my experience..SSD made a big difference to my Gaming…
Don’t forget that every click and every action you make in your game is written to your HD –> pagefile

Just create a ramdisk the size of kingdom come, and your games will fly! I have a 486DX2 / 66 mhz computer from way back, and it runs games like GTA3 smooth as ice! The ram drive tricks out your memory and makes the games run…Enjoy that bit of expertise!
So for those who think you need a fast processor, just try increasing your ram, to like 40 gigs or better, then create a 20 gig or better RAM DISK, you will have no problems running games like GTA3 for pc!
By creating a ramdisk from your physical memory means that your computer doesn’t rely 100% on your processor speed, nor your physical ram to run the app or game!
But you have to have ALOT of physical ram to create a ramdisk for the size of the games of today!
Last time I checked that this did work was in 2008.
