Stuff in taskbar

how do I get rid of the icons and make sure these progs. dont initaite on bootup? do i have to go to each prog. maunaully or is there an easier way?

there are programs you can download which manage your startup programs

that looks alright, but there are definatley others, including one in Tune Up Utilites

Yep Tuneup Utilities 2008 is a very handy app to have…
Go to it’s start up manager and untick the entries you don’t want…You can re-tick them later if you change your mind

Start –> Run –> msconfig –> Startup tab.

You can do it with TweakNow PowerPack. One you install it go to startup manager and select which one you don’t want to run on the startup. But if you’re using Vista simply go to Control Pa – Performance Information and tools – Manage startup programs.
