[SOLVED]Get a Windows cd without its product key!

Hi, i recently get a dvd with windows xp installation from a friend, he assure me that no product key was needed to install it, yet when installing in on another pc a product key was asked..
i know ‘keyfinder’ can retrieve from an already already installation yet any idea how to get it from the cd?

Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
The number is listed under ProductId
Look but don�t touch.

Maybe your friend’s system is OEM…The installer checks the bios for oem iD..If it can’t find it it will ask for a valid key…
All windows require a key…If you don’t get asked for a key…It means the key is integrated…
It’s mostly stored in the winnt.sif…You can open it woth notepad and includes something like this:
[UserData]
ProductKey=”XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX”

This is not the same as Produkt KEY!
You can’t enter this ID in the installation.
