[SOLVED] New Rapidshare site + DAP

August 5th, 2016

Hey fellas i have a problem, I use Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) and with the old site it was working fine but now with the new site every time I past a link to my browser and press premium and then try to download the file it will download as 4.3KB size file… ethier I’m doing something wrong or DAP is not supported anymore ;\
Any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Answer #1
Log into ~ Dead file host ~ in Internet Explorer (yes IE that part is important), make sure direct downloading is enabled
Now copy/paste the Rapidshare URL into DAP.
Answer #2
Make sure you are log in to your premium account before downloading..
Enable direct download in the options..
Type in your login info in DAP…
Answer #3
Make sure you have entered your username and password at the site login in DAP.
Try logging into the site in IE. Make sure you have DAP running when you login from IE…
Answer #4
I did all the above and now it works in IE but still doesn’t work in firefox ;(
Answer #5
No need to do from FF. DAP will look for the cookies in Internet Explorer, as long as the IE cookie is there it will download as a premium user. Just copy the link or set of links from from Firefox. You can use the Flashgot extension and select all the links from the topic and right click > select Flashgot selected.
This method will work for almost all download managers including Flashgot and IDM. No need to put in any login details in the download manager.

You have to do the same with firefox…
open firefox…and do the same steps with IE..apart from DAP..you don’t have to do that twice…

It works for me in IE & Firefox
Here is what i did ( thanks to the people who helped me )
1. Go to DAP > Tools > Option > Sites Managment > Site Passwords > New
And then enter your info for rapidshare website.
2. Go to IE.7 and then go to the rapidshares website > Premium Zone > Settings > Check mark Direct downloads, requested files are saved without redirection via RapidShare > SAVE. 3. Repeat the same step above for FireFox.
and it worked for me.

Answer #16
For some reason this workaround has stopped working again.
I did what was suggested in here, but I still get the 17,1 KB files. I have VISTA, and it may be the reason of that, cos on WINXP it works fine.
