[SOLVED] installer runs at every startup

August 2nd, 2016

Hey guys, i downloaded CloneDVD 2 latest from the apps section yesterday, and EVERY single time i switch on my computer the installer runs, the installer seems to be originating from:
C:\Users\X\AppData\Roaming
I went in there and deleted the installer manually, yet it still comes back on each reboot running from the same directory.
I’ve tried looking at the startup program list, its not even listed there. i’m running a virus scan now just incase (although i did scan the file after download and it was clean).
please help, its EXTREMELY annoying (odd for such a simple thing hey? lol)
thanks in advance guys

EDIT:::
I went into safe mode, scanned with malwarebytes and antivir, ran hijackthis/removed all invalids and scoured through the startup lists with the autoruns sysinternals program. I seem to have done something right. its fixed.

Answer #1
I also think it could be infected file. What are you using to scan it with? I recommend scanning with Avira + SuperAntiSpyware + Malwarebytes in safemode.
Answer #2
Start>Run>msconfig. Click startup and if it’s there disable it. If it isn’t under startup, click services and if it is there disable it.
Answer #3
hey thanks for your responses, i’m scanning with avast! and then i’m going to scan with malwarebytes
oh and , i checked msconfig startup entries and its not there, i’ll have to check the services list
thanks again guys
