Software for joining mp3 songs

Need some software for joining and probably mixing several songs in mp3 format. I tried Virtual DJ but I’m stuck!
Can somebody recommend me good and easy software?

You could try a simple progam called Audacity. It’s not all that flashy but it gets the job done.
