Small Problem

January 25th, 2020

Ever since i have bought my computer it has always shown the C: and D: (Local Disks) in the safely remove hardware icon in the system tray.
How do i get it to stop showing there?
I have tried seeing what happens when i eject them but it just says device cannot be stopped right now

Upong some searching i found a few things for you.
I also have the same situation. The sata-II drives are hot swappable with the proper drivers and setup. They are being detected as having the ability to be hot swapped. In doings some reading its an nvidia chipset “feature”.
Here is a link with some registry changes you can make to disable the removal status of those drives.

Its probally cause its a SATA drive, its used for Hotswapping lol. You don’t need to worry, you can’t “safely” remove the drive since window’s is running on it..
Try this:
Go to my computer, right click the C drive, go to properties
Go to the polocies tab, and hit the button for Optimize for performance.
That should remove it.. Its not a huge deal if it doesn’t =P Its not dangerous to your system haha.
