Seedbox and vpn

August 11th, 2013

ok i googled it and find out that you can use sock5 proxy and make your ip same as the seedbox.using putty and firefox and fireproxy
what i wanna know is that do i need to open putty or login to something to use seedbox as vpn.
I know that you can set your foxyproxy basic to set automatic to change your proxy using wildcards etc etc…..
But in this case i think you need to authenticate yourself everytime u use the proxy (vpn what ever) .

Your post is a bit confusing.
A seedbox is a user account and several programs (including a torrent client) running on a shared server. If you happen to have a VPN server on it, you just have to connect to it. If it’s PPTP, you can create a connection on your PC, and activate or deactivate it to use the VPN. If it’s OpenVPN, you have to download and install the OpenVPN client.
Putty is an SSH client to control a server remotely, but if you don’t have root, you won’t be able to install a VPN.
Firefox and fireproxy are totally useless and irrelevant here.
So tell us what seedbox you have, we might be able to help you a little bit better.
