screen stuck on 4 bit and 640×480

hey guys
my screen got stuck on 4 bit and 640×480 after trying to run avatar the game
and i tried everything i found on google and none of them worked so i really hope you can help me
my pc:
Microsoft windows xp
version 2002
Service pack 2
PS: (i tried system restore and the one i have is totally different than the one i see on internet pages)
and please be fast cuz i’m working on the computer now with 4 bit color :S

Try reinstalling your GPU drivers. If you have an ATI video card go here:
