Screen Capture

What program would be good to capture a video playing from my desktop? What im trying to do, is capture a 15sec playback clip of a dvd menu im currently working on. I have tried Camtasia, but will not give me good results. Thank you.

try fraps
search appz section
It can capture anything it can benchmark
so start it, start the clip in a player and if you see FPS in upper corner them hit capture key(F11 is default I think)
it will be a huge file as it’s uncompressed
