Registration Entry Problem In Xp

you know … those reg files… that you click and they put themselves in your registry of xp ?….. Well… I dont knw… I turned on my computer today and saw … the file… u knw.. that makes… Windows Genuine…. a reg file i got from here…. its just I think destroyed… ……. Cuz… I cant put it in my registry after clicking it… It just opens up in Notepad… with values and stuff i dont understand… can anyone help? ,…… I can provide screenshots…. if u want…
Right click on the “.reg” file in Windows Explorer
Click on Open With…
Click on Registry Editor, if it’s in the list, or use the Browse button to locate regedit.exe (typically in C:\Windows)
Make sure that Always use the selected program to open this kind of file is checked
Click OK
