Re-formating PC with a non-bootable vista dvd

January 27th, 2020

Haay,
I’m curently running windows vista ultimate and I’d like to re-format my pc and install vista ultimate again..
I got a bootable XP dvd and a non-bootable vista ultimate dvd.
Now my question is, how do I got to re-format my pc?!
1) format my pc with the bootable XP dvd and then use the bootable vista dvd to install vista
2) Just use the vista ultimate dvd, it will format your entire pc and than it will install vista again
3) make the non-bootable vista bootable (HOW?)
4) any other idea?
Thanks in forward!!

Download vlite here (freeware):
http://www.vlite.net/download.html
Extract the content of your vista DVD/ISO to a folder..
Install vlite…
Only select bootable ISO from the main menu…

So I got to download a vista bootable iso?
I get a freaking error when I try to install AIK, is this because I got to burn the AIK on dvd and then install?
error: The cabinet file AIKx86.cab required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Hmm.. Ok, I extracted all files from the non-bootable dvd.. I burned it with nero as a bootable DVD, I changed my BIOS to boot from dvd-drive (1 option)… how can I access the bootable dvd.. is it one of the F-buttons I need to use?
Thanks

If you have an OS installed, you have to choose the option ……… Press any key to boot from CD/DVD that shows up as your computer is booting. If this option doesn’t show the DVD isn’t bootable.

If it’s bootable, it should start booting automatically when you restart your computer with the DVD in the drive. You have to choose the option ……… Press any key to boot from CD/DVD that shows up as your computer is booting first.
it’s a UDF file, is that bootable?
When I start my PC (with the disc in it + BIOS is set to boot from dvd), nothing happens at all… anyone?
