rar help

file downloaded through IDM i downloaded all the above files now it is nt showing as rar file but in idm it downloaded as rar file n it shows like FIREFOX document But the file size is same 195 Mb
help me Out Mate
i got few files i hve to extract but it is shoowing as firefox document

how does the link end ? .htm or .rar ??
if .rar then it should work properly and if it ends with .htm then Click start download and IDM should ask you o confirm something (I don’t remember) click yes and it should download the whole file as .rar !

Check if you have unchecked “Hide Extensions Of Known File Types” In Folder Options and see if the files have a .html extension on them, if they are as big as IDM claims then see if you can change the extension to .rar

its shows rar icon on IDM when i clicked on idm to open the downloded file through IDM it shows the file name.rar has been moved while i checked in the folder it shows that firefox document but the size is same its Nt Htm

That’s pretty odd, well anyway have you tried redownloading it with a different download manager? e.g. DownThemAll! (it’s a very nice firefox addon) or just the regular firefox download manager?

I selected all the links at a time n made download with IDM they are of exact size what they are in rar icon it got downloaded

Where these rapidshare or some other type of filesharing links? Did you just port them into a download list?

Did these files come from rapidshare? Or something similar like Megaupload. If so did you just get the list of files and copy+paste them into a download list in IDM?

Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> uncheck “Hide Extensions for known file types”
come back to the folder and rename “filename.rar.htm” or “filename.rar.html” into “filename.rar”

thats Fast n furious files in the second screen shot the download completed i i clicked to open it shows the Tag which is in the and screen shot After GOing manually To the folder where i have downloaded ( 1st screen Shot) It shows firefox icon i hve made a tag by keep the mouse over it it shows in the box of 1st screenshot

Yeah just rename the extension, the reason why IDM is saying the files have been moved it can’t find them, the program really hasn’t moved them (i had a brainwave when thinking and remembered that)
