Rapidshare problem
January 22nd, 2020
I’ve been using rapidshare occasionally to download some music or a movie. It was working fine today till an hour ago.
I was downloading a file and it was going very slow. For a few secs it would go up to the normal speed of 200kb/s then it went to 0 again for a couple of mins, then to normal speed again for a few secs, etc etc I tried it again and I tried some other files too, but it still stays the same.
Im pretty sure its not my internet connection, as I can still download from other sites. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I can solve this?
Thank you
First the questions:
1. Are u using FlashGet ?
2. Are u using Firefox ?
You sure that you are logged in? Isn’t any other program using internet connection?
Im not using any downloadmanager, just firefox.
I tried using different RS servers too, but that didnt solve it either
And no Im not logged in, I dont have a premium account anymore.
My inet isnt being used by anything else, my network monitor doesnt show any activity at all.
Thx for the quick responses here =)
I have the same problem with Firefox, i think is a cookie problem. My solution is to login using IExplorer and the try again download from FireFox. I know this isnt the best solution but works for me.
Use IE
Isn’t it Rapidshare throttling your connection?
Since Rapidshare don’t want you having a good download speed they would give a good speed, then bad speed (or 0kb/s), which averages out to around 50kbs.
Thats my idea anyways.
Do the files eventually download?
I tried IE and it gives the same result…
I dont know if the files eventually download, I didnt wait 2h for a 60mb download.
i posted that somewhere else (about 2 minutes ago) it’s a problem free useres have
i have it myself, with ff and jdownloader windows and linux ….
so i guess it’s rapidshare throttling free users … cause the files work afterwards and usually a broken download can’t be resumed if you are a free user
