Remember if this computer you’re going to add more RAM is new, and you bought it pre-made, probably you cant open it because it’ll void the warranty. Take your computer to the place where you bought it for the proper installation of the RAM.
Also you may need to know what type of RAM you’ll need, PC, DDR or DDR2, or even DDR3 but i think DDR3 isnt avaliable for computers.. maybe.
With the wrong type of ram… idk it can happen maybe it just wont start up.
Ooh ye, the more the better, but the more the more expensive it’ll be.
Remember not all computers supports DDR2, if you bought your computer recently, and it’s modern probably it’ll run DDR2.
It’s recommended to you buy a 1GB or more RAM, since that’s the amount everything is asking for a computer those days ( Games, Programs, the own Windows.. ) and it’s better to buy a big amount now than buy small amounts in time, that’ll be more expensive, and you will probably run out of RAM Slots, that’ll make the smaller RAM unusable since there’s nowhere to put it.
Btw if you dont know what is RAM, you probably dont know how to install it, and it can be dangerous since even a small electromagnetic charge can damage the computer, so it’s better letting a pro install it for you.
If you’re REALLY going to risk everything and install the RAM by yourself, go watch some movies on YouTube about how to install the RAM, and pay very much attention to it, how to install, the correct side, the correct pressure etc, also dont forget to read the User’s manual from your motherboard ( the book that came with the computer, it’s not a magazine or junk mail. ), it got everything you must know about your RAM and some short instructions about how to install it. Also it says the type of RAM supported.

Buy it from ebay mate
ebay is very cheap for ram
someone has posted apic of where teh ram goes and in all mother boards it looks like that
1 thing you must make sure thoguht is that it s compatibel with your PC
