Question regarding Surge protector

October 18th, 2013

I just got this surge protector but there aren’t enough outlets for my electronics. I do have some very good quality extension cords lying around. Can I use several of those and plug them into the surge protector? Is it safe? Thanks.
Answer #1
How much power are we talking about combined?
Each outlet is good enough for up to around 3000W.
Answer #2
Yes you can, but as mentioned, don’t exceed the power/current rating of the board with the surge protector.
Your electronic stuff should be fine , but no electric radiators!
Answer #3
You might find some useful information here on power and Joules ratings of surge protectors.
