If it was to be hacked it would’ve been done a long time ago. They cant even find a way to get homebrews to run. The more updates Sony make the more security they add. Lets thing a little smarter

What kind of hack do you want?
Well I personally would crack a PS3 using a axe. Why a axe? Because i think it can definitely create some cracks in its case and break it So my suggestion is use a axe

lolz but leaving that a side. The PS3 may not be hacked in our lifetimes. Sony has take certain procedures to tighten their security. Nintendo and Microsoft didnt thats why their consoles got modded and why they are more successful than PS3. The truth is piracy allows things to be more popular and sell better. So PS3 fails. You should of gotten a different console, the PS2 or Xbox 360 would of been wiser choice.

thanks.the only thing at the moment that you can change or “Hack” on a PS3 is to change the hard drive from a 40gb to 500gb or larger – I baught a ps3 with a 80gb hard drive and now I have a 500gb hard drive in it. there will be more available hacks in the future – hopefully soon though!

you can play a pong homebrew game on it but thats about it.
and if you have one of the launch US or J systems then you can hack it with the help of a swap magic disc to play burnt PS2 and PSX games.

And no the PS3 is not soft modded or full modded!
soft mod = changing firmware or system files to hack the system.
full mod = adding, changing hardware to hack a system.
learn your definitions. I have two PSP that are softmodded, a wii that is full and softmodded, a softmodded ipod classic and touch, and a hacked ipod video(custom fonts, colors, and installed rockbox and linux.) I know the difference.
