PS3 and Internet Access

Hi,
I have a jailbroken 3.55 km PS3 and working fine.
I know that trying to play online can lead to a ban by Sony.
If I wanted to update for example ‘multiman’ would it be safe to be on an Internet connection? Also, by using FTP (with Internet Connection on network) would it be a risk that the jailbreak would be broken?
Furthermore, I see all those ps3 games being posted who work with 3.60 and 3.70+. What is the use of that while 3.55 is the latest CFW?

well i had a jailbroken ps3.
you can go on the internet (google, youtube, bbc iplayer etc). as long as your dont connect to psn cause u cant.

there is no use until somebody can modify the eboot to work on 3.55 as far as i kno
