PS2 Emulater help.. please!

Hey, i’ve just downloaded the PCSX2 emulator and was wondering if anyone had any experience using it? I’ve downloaded a game called Spartan. When i extracted it all etc… i planned to play it on the PS2 emulater. But for some reason it’s only going to the main menu screen for the PS2 rather than going in game. :S
I’ve tried clicking on browser and doesnt find anything apart from two memory cards, so i was wondering whether what i’m doing is wrong, and whether anyone could suggest any other options, or advise me in the right direction?
I’m puzzled by, how i actually enter the game. :S

Maybe extracting the ISO is what you shouldn’t be doing…

ermmm, i dont recall extracting the iso :S
Once i extracted all the .rar files into my ‘Spartan’ folder, there was then another .rar file within it called ‘STwW-tSEGA’.
But i think i was meant to extract this, because otherwise there would be nothing :/

Sorry I must of misunderstood you…You said When i extracted it all etc…I tought you extracted the iso…
yea…You should end up with an ISO file or bin cue files…

yeah, had me worried for a second then!! haha
Ermmm i get a file which i open in the emulater called ‘IOPRP300.IMG’ in the IOP file? :S
This is what takes me to the Main Menu of the Playstation 2 in the first place. So is there a button i should press whilst in the main menu to enter the game?

make sure you configured the PCSX2 rite…the instructions are on the PCSX2 home page. http://www.pcsx2.net/guide.php
if you don’t get the kind of assistance you wanted in try checking out ngemu forums for emulation support.
or maybe it’s just your computer configuration…

Yeah, all the plugins/bios etc are all good.
i doubt it would be pc settings :/
for starters i dont even have a anti-virus nor any other firewall blocking it.
I’ve disabled the windows firewall, and that doesnt work :/
I think i just need to be shown how to open it… lol
